Pravika International School, set to unfold on a sprawling 2,35,000 square feet area in Chatra, Jharkhand, is designed as a beacon of high-quality living and education for the local children. This residential school project divides its 5-acre plot into two distinct zones: three acres of tribal land transformed into a multipurpose landscape and two acres dedicated to the built environment.

The architectural concept emphasizes a dynamic dialogue between built and unbuilt spaces, creating a poetic interplay of space and materiality. The design features a harmonious blend of lime plastered Compressed Stabilized Earth Block (CSEB) and vibrant red bricks. This combination not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also speaks to sustainable building practices.

The layout is meticulously planned to maximize green and interactive spaces, weaving through the built fabric, extending across facades and rooftops, and enveloping the front and backyards of buildings. A sculptural play of steps on the front facade enhances the interactivity and accessibility, inviting engagement and exploration.

Construction is phased, with the initial phase comprising three blocks for kindergarten, primary sections, and administrative functions. A subsequent phase will introduce a more formal setup for middle and higher classes in a single multistoried building positioned at the rear of the site, ensuring a seamless educational journey from playful learning to more structured academics.
